I hope this NewYear you have resolved to lose some weight or more specifically fat.  If you have you have, you probably know that you need to eat for vegetables.  Eating all the vegetables that you want is something recommended in every diet I have read, tried, and bought.  Vegetables have tons of nutrients that boost our immune system and have very little calories.  The problem with vegetables is that to some people they don’t taste very good.  I personally love them I eat them with no dressing, but to some people they are something brought from Guantanamo.

Have you ever been to a restaurant that has an awesome salad bar, packed with great foods like quinoa, hummus, hard boiled eats, etc, and seen a overweight person serve them selves a big bowl full of this stuff and said, “Good for you, glad you are doing something for your health”, and then all of a sudden they head to the salad dressing and your like”NOOOOOO! Stay away from that!”, but they just don’t listen and end up pouring tons of it over their salad.

This person just went form losing a couple pounds to gaining them.  My friend Mike Geary has a great article about salad dressings and how they might sabotage your healthy salad.  Don’t get me wrong, not all salad dressings are bad, just the ones you buy in the super market.

I personally don’t like to put anything on my salads, it kind of takes the flavor out of the vegetables, but sometimes I might stir something up with some Dijon mustard, pepper, olive oil, and half a teaspoon of honey.  Olive oil and balsamic vinegar is also great.  This two go together like dirt and nails (it’s a saying we have in my country).  There are a hundred and one better options than the ones you have in the super market.

Don’t forget to take a look at Mike’s article there is a lot of truth inside of it, and it will only take you 2 minutes to read.
